College Underground Radio Opens New Music Location in Spain

Aug. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- Atlanta, Georgia – August 9, 2010 – College Underground Radio opens a local station in Andalucia, Spain.

College Underground Radio is the most interesting variety of music and entertainment in college radio. We broadcast music commercial free, worldwide, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

“Thank you to our listeners, website visitors and bands all over the world. Your loyalty has been the catalyst to our growth. This interaction is what separates us from other internet radio stations.” said David Hottle, CPC. According to Hottle, “I do believe College Underground Radio is the first in the world to establish an internet radio chain. And, Andalucia, Spain is hopefully the first of many localized internet radio stations”  

“College Underground Radio is opening doors for local bands and artists from all around the world.” said Rebecca Sanford, General Manager the Andalucia station. According to Ms. Sanford, “Launching College Underground Radio in Andalusia gives these bands and artists the opportunity to become plugged in to a larger community of musicians and also showcase their music on a higher level.  It gives them the chance to expose their music to a broader audience as well as understand what techniques and styles other bands are using out there.”  

“We originally wanted to create an internet station that you not only want to listen to but, would want to refer your friends.” according to Dave Hottle, CPC. “However, it has become so much more. We have created an outlet for unsigned talent for exposure where none currently exists. Some amazing talent is running to our internet radio station.”

Hottle added, “It is virtually impossible for today’s artists to get airplay. Internet radio seems to be the only consistent outlet and College Underground Radio is trying to create a market for the undiscovered artist.”

Andalucia, Spain is just the first of many local College Underground Radio stations. David Hottle, CPC added, “We hope to contribute to an artist or band becoming wildly successful because College Underground Radio began playing their music before anyone else believed in them.”
