BMS Announces New DMEPOS Coordination Services

Aug. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Billing Management is constantly looking for new ways to assist and support the DME providers they serve.  The overwhelming success of the DME Evaluation Program launched last week has uncovered many DME provider deficiencies, one of which is the lack of an onstaff DMEPOS Coordinator. "As part of Medicare accreditation requirements, a DME provider must have a DMEPOS Coordinator on staff.  Many suppliers, and pharmacists especially, are limited on space and staff and find it difficult to hire a DMEPOS Coordinator," Memory Nelson, CMBS and President of Billing Management Services said, "Our response is to provide DMEPOS coordination services to DME providers without the need for additional staff."

In an effort to continue its commitment to excellent service, Billing Management Services has built a position for its clients and non-client providers that would allow BMS to function as the DMEPOS Coordinator without the high employee salary or additional employment benefits, such as; health insurance, vacation or sick pay.

The DMEPOS Coordinator will be an off-site coordinator provided by Billing Management Services to help ensure that a supplier maintains all standards of accreditation status and compliance with Medicare rules and regulations.  The DMEPOS Coordinator will establish and maintain a sales and marketing plan for promoting the DME department of the supplier.  The DMEPOS Coordinator will establish and maintain key contacts within the supplier’s community.  The DMEPOS Coordinator will also maintain compliance manuals, policy and procedure manuals, and manage all aspects of the DME program with the assistance of an onsite DME supervisor.
