Aug. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Toronto pop-rock band Down With Webster, whose hit song ‘Your Man’ peaked at #12 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and continues to dominate radio airwaves, will be performing live at Horseshoe Resort on Friday, August 20th, 2010, beginning at 7:00 PM.

“Horseshoe is very proud to be hosting Down With Webster,” says Christine Jamieson, Horseshoe Resort’s Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. “Their fun brand of music reaches a wide spectrum of fans, so parents and kids alike can come out and enjoy an afternoon of thrills at the Adventure Park, then share an evening of great entertainment. It’s rare these days that an entire family can enjoy a show together, and that’s one of the reasons we’re so excited about this unique event.”

Included in the show’s $24.99 price of admission is an all-day pass to Horseshoe Adventure Park, which opened earlier this summer. The Adventure Park is the only place in Canada where guests can experience the thrill of Zorbing – rolling downhill in a rubberized sphere – and the rush of the Zip Flyer, which, at more than 634 metres from start to finish, is Southern Ontario’s longest zip line ride. The park also features other adrenaline-pumping attractions, such as downhill mountain biking, summer tubing, rock climbing, and a 3,050-square-metre skate park.

“Considering an all-day pass to the Adventure Park costs anywhere from $34.99 to $54.99 (depending on height) during the summer months, this ticket offers tremendous value,” says Jamieson. “From 10 AM onward, Down With Webster fans can spend the whole day enjoying the park. But even if people show up later in the day and only get a chance to try a few of the attractions before the show, it’s still a super deal.”

The diverse outdoor facilities at Horseshoe make it a favourite year-round destination for active families.  Encompassing the aforementioned Adventure Park, two 18-hole golf courses, and 25 ski and snowboard runs during the winter, Horseshoe is unlike any other resort in Southern Ontario.

Adds Jamieson: “Horseshoe is conveniently located one hour north of Toronto, right off highway 400, and is the perfect retreat for families, couples looking for a romantic getaway, wedding parties, and even corporate retreats. Whether it’s zipping, Zorbing, mountain biking, rock climbing, golfing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, winter or summer tubing, cross-country skiing through the Copeland Forest, or relaxing at the Shizen Spa, there’s something for everyone at Horseshoe.”
