| Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union Offering YouTube Video CompetitionA $5000 Scholarship Will Go to the Winner
By: Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (TFCU) The Get Carducated video contest is open to members of participating credit unions, between the ages of 16 and 21 who are currently attending college or will be college-bound by October 2012. Videos will be accepted through October 31. All submissions will be uploaded to the 'Get Carducated' YouTube channel for public viewing. Once uploaded, participants can ask their friends, relatives, and others to view their video. They can also share it through Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets. The three videos with the most views as of Nov. 1, 2010, will win one of the following prizes: Grand prize – a $5,000 college scholarship Second place – a MacBook and a $500 textbook credit Third place – an iPhone and a $250 textbook credit Plus, the first 25 participants to submit an eligible video will automatically win a $25 iTunes gift card. Contest participants under age 18 are required to provide parent/guardian consent on the entry form. "We are always looking for ways to help youth become more financially aware," said TFCU President and CEO, Greg Johnson, "The Get Carducated video contest offers a unique approach by asking students to get creative and educate others on the responsible use of debit, credit and ATM cards."
