1st Tamil Nadu State Level Yogasana Championship
International Yogasana Academy, Hong Kong and Asana Andiappan College of Yoga & Research Centre, Chennai jointly conducts 1st Tamil Nadu State level Yogasana Championship on 15th August 2010 (Sunday).

The competition starts at 7.30am in the morning and ends with the grand prize awarding ceremony in the evening at 7pm. State ministers, senior police officers and High Court Judges will be inaugurating and distribute prizes to the winners of this competition.
Participants can attend according to the age group ranging from below 5yrs, 6 – 10 yrs, 11 – 15 yrs, 16 – 20 yrs, 21 – 30yrs, 31- 40yrs, 41- 50yrs, and 50yrs and above. Participants have to choose any three from the prescribed asanas and perform any two asanas from their own choice. There will be separate competition for male and female participants.
The entry fee for this competition is Rs.200/- and all the participants can visit www.iya-asia.com to register and get more details online. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the venue to all the participants. All Participants will also be given accommodation if they are travelling from districts other than Chennai.
A Special Yoga Demonstration and Dance Performance will be performed by yoga students from Anahata Yoga Studio -Hong Kong.
All the first prize holders of all the age group will be selected for the championship round and the best performing participant will be awarded with the championship winner of the competition. The male and female First prize and championship holders are eligible to attend the upcoming 1 Asian Yoga Championship to be conducted at Hong Kong next year.

Dr. Asana Andiappan Yoga Centre was established in 1950 by Dr. Asana Andiappan on the river bed of Tamira Parani at Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu, South India. It was registered as a charitable organization at 1993 and recognized by State Government of Tamilnadu, India on the 30th of April, 1997.
