Children’s Book Author Reading and Book Signing in Scottsdale, AZ

Aug. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Surprise, Arizona.  Arizona authors Angela and William Kirschner will be reading and signing their latest book, Marshall Explores Arizona, at Tikes & Tales in Scottsdale, AZ, on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 11 am.  Marshall Explores Arizona is the first in a series of books about the United States.  Its goal is to educate children ages 3-12 in a fun and exciting way about the different States.  The authors have created lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and crafts to accompany the book.  These are available for free on their website, www.kirschnerbooks.com, and can be used to supplement classroom education plans for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

The authors love to travel and have had the fortune to visit all 50 states.  After the birth of their son two years ago, they wanted to create a product to educate children about the different states and the wonderful attractions they have to offer.  And as a former teacher, Angela wanted to incorporate the state’s education standards into the book so that it could be used as a supplement to a school’s curriculum.  This is a great back to school item.

Marshall Explores Arizona is written in a unique way, with rhymes for the pre-k crowd and more in-depth text for older children.  The artist has also captured the look and feel of Arizona with full illustrations filling the pages.
