Cure International Launches New Web Site at CURE.org

CURE International announces today the launch of its new Web site, CURE.org.

Aug. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- CURE International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to curing children with physical disabilities in the developing world, announced today the launch of its new Web site, CURE.org.

“CURE.org is now live,” said Joel Worrall, vice president of CURE.org. “Over the past few years, the role of the Web site for nonprofit organizations has changed. It is now more than just a place for someone to get some information and give an online donation. It needs to connect people with the organization and offer meaningful ways for them to contribute as part of a community. CURE.org does both of these things, giving longtime supporters as well as new visitors an authentic, engaging online experience.”

CURE.org is a one-stop portal for all information about CURE International, offering an easy-to-navigate, intuitive design, rich content and integration with popular social media services. The site was built from the ground up completely in-house.

Worrall added that the site’s accessibility is one of its most important features. “We’ve worked to make sure the site conforms to the most modern Web standards. CURE.org is just as accessible to those using a home PC as it is to those using a smart phone,” he said.

CURE.org replaces helpcurenow.org as the organization’s home Web address. All queries directed to helpcurenow.org will be redirected to the new site.

Worrall said the launch of CURE.org represents the first in a series of new initiatives that the organization will be rolling out over the next few months.

“This fall, we are going to pilot a very exciting program that will connect our supporters with the children their gifts help cure,” said Worrall. “It will open new opportunities for people to become more involved in the worldwide CURE community. We will be sharing more details soon on CURE.org.”
