Lupus is a chronic auto-immune condition which can be debilitating and even life-threatening. Despite its prevalence throughout the community it is widely misunderstood, and lupus sufferers are often misdiagnosed or live without a diagnosis for lengthy periods of time. There is no cure for lupus, and relieving medications can cause further health problems. For further information, please refer to our website: http://www.lupusqld.org.au/

Lupus Association Queensland (LAQ) dreams of a world without lupus, and its members are actively involved in seeing that dream become a reality. LAQ is an organisation consisting completely of individuals who have or are affected by lupus. We do not have staff, bureaucrats, or anyone involved who does not understand lupus and its possible devastating effects - A free support group.
