Dustless grinder improves productivity for grinding and polishing concrete floors

Aug. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- The new dustless grinder from Situp Products is faster to use for both grinding and polishing while it reduces fatigue and improves operator control. Reducing fatigue alone improves productivity because frequent rest breaks are the major cause of lost time on jobs.

The next biggest loss of time on jobs is due to repeat grinding of areas that were missed on the first pass because of dust left on the floor which masked visibility. This dustless grinder uses the latest technology for dust control where the vacuum airflow is directed under the seal instead of through the top of the dust shroud body. The dust is picked up exactly where it is generated at floor level and the airflow takes it up and around the body to the vacuum collection port.

Dust control was the major aim of Situp Products' design team when they produced this dust shroud. They included a hook and loop attached, adjustable seal so that the strongest vacuum airflow could be assured no matter what size vacuum dust collector was used from single motor to three phase as long as the recommended vacuum hose was a minimum one and half inches internal diameter. For strong vacuum dust collectors the seal could be raised and for weaker dust collectors it could be lowered to regulate and maintain the vacuum pressure within the dust shroud.

They patented their edging feature which covers over most of the edging area with the seal and only allows the grinding wheel to protrude through a small gap to save vacuum losses.

With both normal grinding and edge grinding this dustless grinder will outperform others for improved profits, less downtime, reduced rework, less fatigue and a better quality finish.
