Sunrise Aviation Approved to Train Pilots from Panama
Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Ormond Beach, Florida, is approved by the Republic of Panama to train pilots from that country.
Sunrise Aviation has enrolled students from Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil and other Latin and South American countries since 1999. In many of those countries, Sunrise Aviation graduates are now flying for the airlines. In some cases, the Sunrise Aviation graduates have secured jobs in other areas of the world such as the Middle East or India where there have been shortages of experienced airline pilots. Hundreds of pilots that have graduated from Sunrise Aviation in Central Florida are now working all over the world.
Growth figures released recently for Latin America and South America indicate strong demand for aircraft purchases in both the corporate and airline segments. This will result in more pilot hiring in those regions during the next few years.
Sunrise Aviation has been in business at the Ormond Beach Municipal Airport since 1983. In recent years, students from more than 50 countries have enrolled in their pilot training programs. Currently, students from Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India, UAE, Egypt, Yemen. Tunisia, Turkey, France and Spain are at Sunrise Aviation. Sunrise Aviation offers pilot training for future airline pilots as well as training towards individual ratings such as Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, or even the Multi-engine Rating. With the largest number of Cessna 152s of any flight school in Florida, Sunrise Aviation is also a destination of choice for pilots needing to quickly and economically add flight hours to a logbook. Flying instruction is conducted 7 days a week at the Sunrise Aviation facilities in Florida.
Sunrise Aviation also now has Technically Advanced Aircraft with glass cockpit avionics including the Cessna 172 SP with Garmin G-1000 and the Cirrus SR-20 with Avidyne. Sunrise Aviation currently has 43 aircraft in the fleet including four multi-engine aircraft. They are approved by the FAA as a Pilot School and approved to enroll foreign students by the Department of Homeland Security. In addition to the approval from Panama, Sunrise Aviation is specifically approved by the government of the Ukraine to train pilots from that country. Sunrise Aviation also has programs designed to meet the specific needs of pilots from Saudi Arabia, India and many other countries.
Sunrise Aviation provides professional pilot packages for students wanting to be corporate or airline pilots and individual courses for private pilot, instrument rating, commercial pilot, multi-engine rating, flight instructor, and even airline transport pilot.
