Less than 24 hours after the Bachelorette Finale, where Ali and Roberto got engaged, online there’s frantic search for info related to “Ali and Roberto break up”. If Ali Fedotwosky and Roberto Martinez broke up then why did the lovestruck engaged Ali and Roberto appear on Good Morning Amercia earlier today?

Kudos to ABC for giving viewers a truly fun and class act Bachelorette finale which, to even this reality tv romance cynic, had elements which seemed genuine. The essential ingredients of Ali finding true love. Ali opting to inform Chris Lampton the day before the Final Rose episode Ali was in love with Roberto, sparing Chris the final date and the dreaded final rose rejection slip. Viewers could see the instant attraction between Ali and Roberto, an attraction which grew stronger as the show progressed. Ali making an honest effort to “date” the other guys, ensure Roberto was the right guy for Ali, and, make sure Roberto had the same feelings to Ali. Not an easy task. In an Us Weekly Poll, Vote: Whom should ‘Bachelorette’ Ali choose?, 66% picked Chris Lampton. For those who felt Chris would have made a better mate for Ali there’s hope on the horizon in the form of ABC Bachelor/Bachelorette spoiler king Reality Steve who posted Chris Lampton will be ABC’s next Bachelor if Chris decides to take the job:

   -As for the next “Bachelor”, 100% confirmed it is Chris Lambton’s gig IF he wants it. No word yet on whether he’s officially agreed, but c’mon, the way the show will set up his exit as the guy everyone in America will feel sorry for, it’s the perfect set up leading into next season. He and the show both know America has pretty much fallen in love with him, I can’t imagine him passing this up. Same thing I say for everyone who is the “Bachelor” or “Bachelorette”: Who wouldn’t want a two month vacation to date a bunch of good looking people and go on dates you’d probably never experience in your whole life? Not to mention get paid six figures to do so. I say you can pretty much mark it down Chris is going to be the next “Bachelor”.

   Averaging 11.6 million and a 3.7 rating with adults 18-49 between 8p-10p, The Bachelorette had its strongest finale since February 2004. Its 18-49 rating was up 6% versus last summer’s finale. At 10pm: The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose averaged a 3.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 11.4 million viewers. That was up 36% with adults 18-49 versus last year’s special, but last year the special ran the day after the finale rather than immediately after it.
