Aug. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Marco Pierre White paid a visit to DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House in Congresbury to see for himself how work was progressing on his new restaurant.

Called the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill the new eatery is due to open in September and the management team at the four-star hotel are busy getting the venue ready in time for the grand opening.

Regarded by many as being to godfather of modern cooking the no-nonsense chef is looking forward to bringing his brand of dining to the region with the restaurant comprising everything you would expect from a traditional steakhouse but with the superior quality synonymous from arguably Britain’s greatest chef.

The newly refurbished décor of the restaurant will create an intimate venue where guests can relax in comfortable, glamorous surroundings.

Added to the lively atmosphere, exquisite food, delicious cocktails, the new Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill will, it is planned, become the perfect venue for any occasion.

Mark Hands, group general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House said: “Marco is taking a lot of interest in the new restaurant and is very much hands on with its design and lay out. His level of detail is amazing and will add to people’s experience once we open.

“For him one of the most important aspects of any restaurant is the welcome on arrival, the environment customers sit in and the service that they’re given so we’ve been careful to make sure the new restaurant reflects that.”

Hors D’Oeuvres will include dishes such as Kipper Pate with Whiskey, Melba Toast, Panache of Sea Scallop with Black Pudding and Eggs Benedict Sauce Hollandaise while the main courses will have a selection of traditional classics from the fish main board, grilled and roast meats and Scottish beef. Puddings will be just as tantalising including Eton Mess and Cambridge Burnt Cream.

Nick Taplin, owner at Cadbury House added: “We are very proud to be opening a new restaurant with Marco and look forward to working closely with him to make this new restaurant a huge success.

“It again raises the bar in terms of what people can come to expect at restaurants in the region and we look forward to welcoming guests when it opens. It is also great news for the area as a whole and we hope it will attract more people to the region who will see for themselves why the South West is such a great place.”

John Hallett managing director of Destination Bristol added: “Marco Pierre White is without doubt one of the most influential chefs the country has ever produced and to have him open a restaurant in the heart of the region will not only bring more people to the area but really place North Somerset on the map.

“As far as restaurants go this really has to be the one of the best things to have happened across Bristol and the South West for a long time.”
