Follow on Google News | NLV Center Ring Boxing Provides Youth Programs Through Local Boxing EventsCenter Right Boxing "Night of Boxing" benefit was a huge success with local fighters from the ages of 8 to 18. Local gyms particiated like Steele's, Elite, Tocco's and LA Boxing Clubs.
By: VNewz The club/gym opens from 4:30p to 9p Monday through Friday for tutoring and training. The Club serves youths daily at 600 S Martin Luther King Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89106. The Club is available to low and moderate-income youths of high-risk neighborhoods located in all North Las Vegas and Las Vegas. However, it is open to all youths and referrals from the juvenile justice system regardless of which area of Clark County they reside in. The program is free as long as youths are in school and hold at least a 2.0 grade averages. “We want everyone to support our efforts because it’s ultimately for kids who can’t help themselves. We take pride in seeing all the kids that come through our gym succeed in life. We are not just making champion fighters, we make champions of life,” Gary Gonzales of NLV Center Ring Boxing. “We encourage everyone to come out to the fights and see our hard work for themselves. Meet the fighters, the coaches and our board members to get an idea of who we are as parents, mentors and community partners. We just want to make a difference in lives while at the same time, bringing respect to boxing as a sport.” NLV Center Ring Boxing also host fight cards to fund the facility and continued success of their programs. The July 30 NLV Center Ring Boxing hosted “CRB Night of Boxing” at the Silver Nugget Casino that was very successful with local attendees. Clubs participating were Acre Boxing Club, LA Boxing, Elite Boxing Club, Center Ring Boxing, Steeele’s Boxing Club and Tocco’s Boxing Club. All the fighters are winners and on the path to successful careers. NLV Center Ring Boxing recently held a car wash and yard sale to raise funds for their programs where local boxing gyms, coaches and fighters have given their support and assisted them in their efforts.
