Icon International Foundational and the DeCouto Group International Combine Efforts

Aug. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Woodbridge California, United States, 7/23/2010 -  A program has been developed through management collaboration of the foundation and the DeCouto Group for funding campaigns. The strategy is structured to create awareness and participation for immediate and long term efforts to finance development of campus residences to combat homelessness and loss of continued educational opportunities for youth and young adults across our United States and around the world.

Icon International  Foundation has been a qualified 501(c) (3) public benefit, educational and charitable corporation since the early 1970s (iconinternationalfoundation.org).

The DeCouto Group International is a company dedicated to the protection of children through the design, creation and development of educational concepts and products that help protect children globally from bullying, child predators, and more. (thumbuddies.com)

Executive Director of the foundation, Nicole Rolfe stated, “We are delighted to have the support of the DeCouto Group. The missions of both organizations are so similar in intent, that making this a united effort was a natural result of the communications between Paul Decouto, President of the DeCouto Group International, Tom McIlwaine its Director for North America and our Executive V. P. Garry Duncan and V.P. Michael Price.”  

The Executive Director added, “After my first conversation with Mr. DeCouto and Mr. McIlwaine I knew this combination of our organizations could result in a tremendous force with the ability to accomplish many, many positive things for many children.”
At a meeting today regarding the DeCouto – Icon union, Garry Duncan, said, “with the current economy virtually flat lined it is going to take fierce dedication to impact the tragedies experienced daily by the increased millions of children throughout the world, with probably 2,000,000 of them in America today, including those ageing out of foster homes”  Mr. Price agreed, adding, “yes, and remember the truth of the matter is, that children definitely are the future of America and the world! If they are not protected, this loss will certainly constitute a genuine global problem.”

The Icon Foundation’s Clipper Mills, California location, while not at this time able to accommodate residents due to needed funds, will ultimately accommodate upwards to 200 youth from California, Nevada and elsewhere. Educational needs will be made available for each resident. Several other locations in the US are currently being considered  Reports on these will be made available at a later date..

A palpable passion has evolved from the combined forces of management of Icon Foundation and the DeCouto Group. All concerned hope this will draw like enthusiasm  from other organizations and individuals who will wish to become involved,  and to contribute to this movement in any way possible.
