World Champion Boxer Steve Forbes impressed by Dylan Donomme's showing in fightExhibition boxing at the Fight Club proving Ground in Waterford, Michigan
By: Al Low There was no decision in this 165-pound exhibition bout late Saturday at the Fight Club Proving Ground in Waterford, but Donomme gave a good account of himself according to Steve Forbes, former boxing champion and trainer. “I thought he did pretty good for (only) his second fight,” said Forbes. “It’s good that I see these guys actually in a fight. We’ve got to work on a couple of things in the gym (like) getting relaxed. But mostly, everybody on the team did well.” Donomme scored a knockdown in the second round with a straight right hand and finished the fight well. “I don’t think he saw it,” said Donomme, who enjoyed the experience. “I had a lot of fun.” The 16-bout exhibition card drew young amateurs from 10-20 years old from such clubs as Dynamic of Livonia, Kronk, Downtown Boxing and others according to Al Low, who helps direct Fight Club Proving Ground. “It was just getting experience kind of thing,” he said. “The majority of them with the exception of a few, were novice type kids.” The fight card, which attracted a notable gathering of fight fans, helped raise funds for the club # # # Boxing Training With Steve Forbes World Champion MMA Training With Ben Lagman, Adam Kelso, Darin Chirkshank, Joe Battiglia Fitness Training End
