The 9th Annual Baja Brawl goes National

July 28, 2010 - PRLog -- After years of growth and success with the annual Baja Brawl summer motocross festival, the family owned Baja Acres motocross facility says that adding an Amateur National racing format is a natural progression for the event.

“We’ve seen interest and attendance from all over the country grow dramatically throughout the last three years” says Patrick Grzebinski of Baja Acres.  “We’ve listened to racers and their families and are confident that this change will not only make for better racing, but also continue to push the boundaries for what a motocross weekend experience should be”.  Patrick also added that last year’s Baja Brawl saw attendance of over 6,100 people, following a growing trend of a 40% average increase each year, over the last three years.

As part of the new racing format, the North American Amateur National will be increasing racer incentives with contingency from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Cobra Motorcycles, as well as $100 holeshot awards for the third and final motos on Monday.

Along with a new racing format, Baja Acres has pulled out all the stops by bringing in new and exciting events as part of the Labor Day venue.  New for this year, Adrenaline Games Alliance (a Michigan based action sports tour) will be hosting a skateboard competition, as well as a live concert featuring motocross racer Brandon Mays (aka B-MAYZEE) and QWES KROSS presented by Konvict Records.

Also, returning for the second year in a row, the $1,000 winner-take-all, freestyle BMX Pond Jump will be part of the Otsego Club and Resort “Pond Palooza”, along with the second annual Union park wakeboard and wakeskate winch jam.  Last year’s wakeskate finals saw famous pro athletes like Nike 6.0 rider Ben Horan, Brandon Rau, Russell Brightwell, and others take on the two-tier wake course in front of the energetic Baja Acres crowd.
