Nimlok staff gain further qualifications

July 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Andrew Charlton is attending Northampton College studying Welding and Fabrication.  Attending college weekly on a day release means that he gains the theoretical knowledge he needs in his chosen career and on a day to day basis is working in a fast paced, production environment.

Laura Hart works with Marler Haley (Part of the P3 Group) and commented; “I have just completed an NVQ Level II in Business and Administration whilst working full time at Marler Haley, which I think is an excellent opportunity.  I am just starting a level III qualification which allows me to earn my own money whilst also learning and working towards a nationally recognised qualification.   I hope to continue learning after I complete my Business and Administration NVQ’s with a Customer Service related qualification”.

Luke Holmes joined the Nimlok graphics department in August 2009 and is now undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship in Print Finishing at Leicestershire College.  He is learning practical skills whilst in the work place and is also fast becoming a key member of a graphics team in the real world.

Layla Flack has been working at Nimlok for four years now and having achieved her Modern Apprenticeship NVQ Level II in Business and Administration is now working towards a Level III NVQ.  Nimlok also provided funding for Layla to study for and gain a CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing.  Layla says; “I really appreciate being given further training from Nimlok to help me in my job role.  By being on an apprenticeship I am able to learn on the job and work at the same time which was most suited to me.  I am able to learn about something that I am most interested in, in the best environment and put what I learn straight into practice”.

Courtney Fosbrook started with Nimlok in February 2010 and is firstly undertaking an NVQ Level II in Business and Administration.  Courtney is learning all aspects of a professional Receptionist role plus training in the administrative side of Human Resources.  She is working with people every day and is one of the first points of contact for many of our clients worldwide.
