July 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Costa Del is a fairly large region in Spain but it a region which is very animal friendly and there are a few parks and aquariums where you can visit these animals.  The good thing about these places is that they are very child friendly and that there are many Costa del Sol villas that you can stay at nearby.

The Fuengirola Biopark (formerly the Fuengirola Zoo) isn't a zoo; it’s a modern biopark located in the heart of the town.  It is well designed and the animals aren't caged which is great as it gives visitors a chance for you to get up close and meet animals.  The surroundings can be described as a mini rainforest which makes it seem larger than it is.  Every part of the biopark can be seen from different angles and elevations.  It will roughly take you about an hour to get around the park.

Speaking of Crocodiles, there is a dedicated Crocodile park in Torremolinos practically the heart of the Costa del Sol.  One of the main attractions of the park is that it gives visitors the chance to watch eggs hatch and cuddle hatchings while taking a picture with them.  Another attraction is the Big Daddy which is 600 Kilo Croc with a long nose that is over 70 years old.  In this biopark there are over 300 crocodiles but there are also mouflons, nan dues, deers and miniature ponies.  There is also an African Museum which has a mini cinema, reptile house, restaurant and a playground for children.

The Selwo Wildlife Park which is located near Estepona is the place to go to if you want to see species from all over the planet.  They have quite a lot of animals, 2,000 in fact, and just like the Fuengirola Biopark the Selwo Wildlife park prefers to not have them in cages or at least prefers them to have as much space as possible.  Depending on the animal they can viewed by foot but also from 4x4 vehicles for your safety as well as the animals.  The Selwo has the largest walk through Aviary in Europe which houses over 1,000 species and is a fantastic way of observing birds.  There are many other animals you can see including elephants, tigers, lions and giraffes.  This park is modelled on them old fashioned safari style adventure park which has a way of charming you.

For those who want to see some underwater creatures the Benalmadena Sealife Aquarium caters to your needs.  This park has over 5,000 different underwater species ranging from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans and even creatures normally found in the Red Sea.  That's what you'd expect from a place that has over 30 tanks in nine different rooms, which enable these creatures to live in a reproduced natural habitat.

Costa del Sol Caters to all animal enthusiasts with its many animal parks this hasn't even detailed half of them there is a wolf park  in Malaga, a Seal preservation, and many more that you can explore and be amazed at.
