SGS Hong Kong Delivers Color Vision Test Program

July 26, 2010 - PRLog -- SGS Hong Kong now offers an intensive and cost-effective program which will provide employers information about a candidates color skills. The program assesses the candidates’ color deficiency, color discrimination ability and the ability to interpret colored samples.

Color Vision Test Program consists of 3 types of color vision assessments:

Ishihara test: This is a test for color blindness. It makes use of the peculiarity that in red-green color blindness, blue and yellow hues appear remarkably bright compared to red and green hues. The Ishihara Color Charts are accepted by leading authorities worldwide as a simple and accurate test for color blindness.

Farnsworth-Munsell 100-Hue Test: This test offers a simple method for evaluating “Color Discrimination” ability. Color vision abnormalities and aptitude are detected by the ability of the test subject to place the color caps in order of hue.

Physical Sample Assessment: The test consists of a pair of colored fabrics which match when viewed under one light source and may differ under another light source – a phenomenon known as illuminant metamerism.

This program is designed for Human Resources Specialists involved in recruiting new staff who will have specific visual color evaluation responsibilities.
