BioPoint Looks to Commercialise New Colony Analyser

July 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Cambridge, England - As part of a stem cell research program BioPoint developed an advanced imaging system for the identification and analysis of microbial and cell colonies.

This project involved the development of a novel imaging and software platform to deliver a fully engineered solution.

While BioPoint is not actively engaged in the cell and colony counting market it does design and manufacture equipment and instruments to accepted international standards and is now actively seeking one or more companies to market the new analyser in the microbial assessment and evaluation market.

The colony measuring system that has been developed has the following business positioning profile:

8) Automated procedure software for fast repetitive applications
9) Interoperability standards for file transfer and lab data management
10) Options for 21.CFR pt 11 to address pharma applications.
11) Applications and marketing support materials available for rapid integration into local product marketing

As indicated earlier, the company is now seeking suitable OEM partner(s) that are or wish to be active in the microbial device market.
