"The Black Jackson Pollock" at Gallery 101 in Ft. Lauderdale

July 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Greg Pitts,"The Black Jackson Pollock" is on exhibit at Gallery 101 in the Fat Village Arts District.  Join him this Saturday July 24, 2010 durning the ArtWalk and view "BaselMania" as well as a glass art table that is one of several pieces of "functional art" furniture that the artist has created.

Having ‘cut his teeth’ artistically over the past 20 years through the medium of photography, Greg Pitts has created artwork that has garnered the attention of several admirers across the country and internationally.  "BaselMania" in particular bursts forward off the wall with vivid color and motion that seems to draw the observer into its depths without realizing that they have been transported to another dimension.

The glass table is painted with whimsical faces that beckon the viewer to "come and play" and leave the cares of the day behind.  

These works are demonstrative of how Greg is considered to be one of the greatest self-taught artists in the world.

Gallery 101 is located at 501 N. Andrews Avenue in Ft. Lauderdale, and the art walk is from 7:00pm- 11:00 pm along N. Andrews Avenue and surrounding streets.
