July 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Tony Williams loves to discuss "The Art of Wood."

There is no better place to discuss the design process, exotic woods or how art and function can merge into such a beautiful piece that it's truly the perfect marriage.  It is possible to discuss them with Tony during the Pennsylvania Guild Fine Craft Fairs 2010 indoors at the cool air-conditioned Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison Street, Wilmington, DE which has free parking.

In this fast paced world it is amazing to go someplace that lets you know everything is always handmade.  It is even guaranteed:  the work you see is handmade, one at a time, by the artist such as Tony Williams.  It's why you might want to visit the Pennsylvania Guild Fine Craft Shows.

Tony Williams, www.atwilliamsart.com, is a functional studio furniture artisan that is a skilled and gifted craftsman that looks forward to meeting novice and seasoned collectors.  Fresh off his seminar presented at the Bucks County Designer House 2010 during May where he discussed "The Art of Wood"  and had an invitation only boutique,Tony will have the opportunity to discuss one on one how an artisan whose medium is exotic wood as a paint pallet takes your vision or your designer's to create a piece so uniquely you that it beckons one to stretch their fingers to lightly touch the contours of the studio furniture or other items before them every time you pass by.  Tony Williams is excited to discuss how art can be both functional, beautiful and one of a kind.

Tony has been included in a 2009 publication Studio Furniture: Today's Leading Woodworkers by Tina Skinner of Schiffer Publications as 1 of 60 wood artisans to watch.  So, if you happen to have the book from your local bookstore - bring it so he can sign it!  Tony Williams had an exclusive interview (on 3/11) by Chris Wakefield's Into the Night 1470 KHND radio show.  He has been invited to be a visiting artist at large at the Harbour View Gallery, speak to students at Delaware Valley College & is doing a solo event at the Piedmont Arts Center, Martinsville, VA at the end of the year.

The Pennsylvania Guild Fine Craft Fairs 2010 is not too far from Tony's studio in Souderton, PA.  The studio is open by appointment and once a year look for his studio tour open house.  Tony Williams exemplifies the rich traditions of Bucks County artisits.

Tony is asking you to join him with your questions to discuss his art of wood so he can gain your perspective for your special piece during the Pennsylvania Guild Fine Craft Fairs 2010 show at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington July 31st & August 1st.  Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.  Information & tickets may be obtained by visiting www.pacrafts.org in advance or at the door for your ideal cool day visiting the area's top artists.
