More readers, regardless of the reason they are drawn, means more people exposed to the true message he aims to get across.

Some may not agree with the steps Allen takes to impact lives, but he feels it's important to meet people where they are. "Books have to be culturally relevant to bring about change," he says. "That's why I cross the line and go into some dark, ugly places. Demons are real and understanding how they operate is critical to our survival. The Taoists have a saying, 'Know magic, shun magic,' which means we should study the ways of others not to imitate them, but to keep from being victimized by them. That's why I write about Wolvzbeere and don't have a problem with his potential fame.
