Unveiled: New version Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard with Bluetooth

July 22, 2010 - PRLog -- The first generation Rii mini wireless keyboard is famous among the mini keyboards. Many users learnt it from an article released at engadget.com. in March this year.
It is a handheld keyboard which consists of 69 keys, touchpad and laser pointer. Its portable and tiny design can be used for travel, school, or any other working environment. The Rii keyboard is really tiny measuring only 151x59x13mm. It basically is as big as a standard TV remote. The integrated touch pad can be used horizontally or vertically. Features of the Rii keyboard include LED backlit, 2.4GHz radio frequency with USB receiver, up to 30 meters range and 500- 700 hours standby time.

The biggest difference from the first generation, the new Rill Mini Wireless Keyboard works via bluetooth.

Some are expert on the difference between radio frequency and bluetooth. Some are confused.

Bluetooth operates using radio waves while infra-red communication works on fast pulses of light. if you have to send data from one mobile to the other using infra-red technology, you will have to keep both the mobiles facing each other. In other words the sensors of both the devices must be in each other's immediate line of sight. If something comes in the way of the two mobiles devices, the message or data will not pass through. Bluetooth technology however can pass through walls. You can send messages, data files, autio-files, video-files etc from your mobile to the other person in the next room, as long as the other mobile is within the radius of 10 meters. Infrared also only works between two devices at a time while bluetooth can work with as many as device as you want.
