Silver Eagle Manufacturing Debuts Value-Leading Hawk Converter Dolly

July 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Portland, Oregon — Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company, the leading builder of converter dollies since 1936, announced today that it is introducing its new Hawk converter dolly and will begin shipping in September for fleets that pull double and triple trailer configurations.

One of four dolly configurations Silver Eagle manufactures, the Hawk is engineered to be a muscular dolly weighing just 2,680 lbs. with a capability of handling a gross vehicle weight rating of 20,000 lbs.

“With the lower dolly weight, fleets are assured a higher payload,” said Mark Jurman, vice president of commercial sales for Silver Eagle. “Our customers asked for a lighter dolly with many of the Silver Eagle hallmarks, and with the Hawk, we delivered.”

Standard components on the Silver Eagle Hawk include a Huck-bolted frame and drawbar constructed of .25 inch high-strength steel, for durability and lower maintenance costs. The entire body of the Hawk is also e-coated and painted to prevent rust corrosion 400 times better than standard primer and paint alone to assure the dolly maintains its professional appearance longer.
