HPNG Announces Ruth Gaviria, VP, Hispanic Ventures, Meredith Corp, Speaker for July Event

July 20, 2010 - PRLog -- New York, N.Y., July 20, 2010 – The Hispanic Professionals Networking Group (HPNG) announces Ruth Gaviria as their guest speaker at this month's networking event.

Ms. Gaviria began her career with Meredith in January 2004. In the fall of 2005, she created and launched the lifestyle magazine, Siempre Mujer, targeting Hispanic women living in the U.S.

She also oversees the continued development of Meredith’s Hispanic magazine portfolio including Ser Padres, Ser Padres Espera and Ser Padres Bebé; all re-launched and redesigned in 2008.

Ms. Gaviria was most recently named one of Advertising Age’s Top Hispanic Media Players to Watch in 2005 and prior to that she was named one of Advertising Age’s Top 100 Marketers in 2000. In February 2007 she was appointed to the board of directors of the National Latino Children’s Institute. She is considered a leading authority in marketing to the U.S. Hispanic consumer.
