MSU Alumni Club of Washtenaw County’s First Mondays Are Back

July 19, 2010 - PRLog -- ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Michigan State University Alumni Club of Washtenaw County will be holding its monthly First Monday meeting on August 2nd at 6pm at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  

First Mondays are social events that bring the Washtenaw branch of MSU’s Alumni Club together on the first Monday of each month. These informal meetings usually start around 6 pm and last as long as people want to stay and network amongst the group. This week the meeting will be held at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti.

“First Mondays are one way that the MSU Alumni Club of Washtenaw County serves alumni and friends of Michigan State University. The meeting gives MSU Alumni who live and work in Washtenaw [Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Saline, Chelsea and Milan] an opportunity to network with other Alumni and create connections and a sense of camaraderie,” said Kathy Bishop, MSU Alumni Club of Washtenaw County President.

The MSU Alumni Club of Washtenaw County is an organization of Michigan State University alumni and friends who support the continued excellence of green and white academics and athletics. The group offers opportunities for members to help support the continued success of Washtenaw citizens and businesses, while also allowing them to become active in their community through networking and activities with other MSU alumni who live and work in the Washtenaw Area. All proceeds raised through this chapter go to benefit a scholarship endowment fund to aid Spartans from the Washtenaw Area as they attend MSU.

In addition to the regular meeting, this month’s meeting will also celebrate the launching of the club’s new website.
