By: VacationRentalPeople

July 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Just over the channel from the UK, within the north west of France is Brittany, a favoured tourist destination for the Brits, making up nearly half of the visitors. And who could blame them? The staggering landscapes, the wonderful food, the fine wine, the charm of simple French living in their very own gite in Brittany. All this so close to their doorstep. It's close enough to swim, there are those who have swam the channel, yet this doesn't quite seem the best option for a family holiday, and may be taking the recession hysteria a little too far. For those wishing to travel to Brittany, here are some travel options.

There are two main points of entry here, coming in to St Malo or Roscoff. From the UK, various companies offer various departure points.

Brittany ferries off voyages from Pourtsmouth to St. Malo, and another service from Plymouth to Roscoff.
