The Texas Gun Collector Association 60th Anniversary

In the Fall of 2010 The Texas Gun Collector Association will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a special issue of their magazine.

July 14, 2010 - PRLog -- In the magazine will appear an article written by Bob Wood about old west gambler and gunfighter Luke Short.

This is the second article Bob has written for the magazine. His first was in the Spring of 2010 and was titled, " Dead Man's Hand: Fact or Fiction?". In that article Bob brought to light the fact that the Ace's & Eight's story was created in the 1920's and was not a true and factual event in old west history.

In his latest article, "Little Luke Short", it's all about truth and documented facts. The article covers the life of one of the most famous gamblers in the old west period who's story has been lost to time. Short fought the Indians, hunted buffalo with Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson, traveled the gambling circuit with Masterson, worked for Earp along with Bat and Doc Holliday in the Oriental Saloon, Tombstone A.T., owned the Long Branch saloon in Dodge City and the White Elephant Saloon in Fort Worth, Texas.
