Key Hyundai Helps Improve Connecticut Employment Outlook by Announcing New Job Openings

July 13, 2010 - PRLog -- As Connecticut unemployment reaches almost 9%, there is one local employer attempting to do its part to improve that outlook.  Key Hyundai, with locations in Manchester, CT and Milford, CT announces plans to increase it's workforce by almost 6%.  Hyundai saw an increase in car sales of 48% versus a year ago in June.  In order to meet customer demand, Key Hyundai must add sales consultants.  These are high paying jobs with full benefits.  They are very coveted positions and top producers can make up to $100,000 a year.  "The beauty of these jobs is that you don't have to have specific automotive sales experience.  We are looking to attract people who have never considered the car businesses in the past, like insurance or technology sales personnel" says Jill Merriam, owner of Key Hyundai.  

Key Hyundai is attempting to debunk the negative view of automotive consultants.  "The days are gone of the guy in the lousy suit, talking down to a customer," says Ms. Merriam.  She went on to add that Key Hyundai is looking for professional people who understand the difference between pushing product and providing solutions. In both Key Hyundai locations you can find the Buyers Bill of Rights on a freestanding display in the showroom.  Ms. Merriam prides herself as being a consumer advocate and the dealer for the people.  She wants to attract automotive consultants that share her values.  

Key Hyundai has established an innovative program to attract qualified automotive consultants.  She is inviting potential prospects to attend a two day paid training class lead by her managers.  It is an opportunity for both sides to explore if this is the right fit.  If at the end of those two days, it is determined to be a good match, an offer for full time employment at Key Hyundai will be provided.
