Financial literacy classes start at the Northwest Branch of Harris County Public Library

The Women's Resource of Greater Houston starts free financial literacy classes. Each class is one hour and teaches personal finance topics in easy to understand way. Come join us!

July 12, 2010 - PRLog -- The Women's Resource of Greater Houston (http://www.thewomensresource.org) started the first of a seven part series of FREE financial literacy classes on July 6th.  Each additional workshop will be held at the Northwest Branch of the Harris County Public Library on 11355 Regency Green Drive, Cypress TX 77429 (http://www.hcpl.net/location/northwest-branch-library) at 10:30 a.m.  Each class is one hour and will cover six additional topics including- Money for Life, Pay Yourself First, Credit in a Money World, and Achieving Financial Security.  The classes are open to anyone over the age of 18 and all classes are free of charge.  Classes include the Wi$eUp™ and FDIC Money Smart ™ curricula.

The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston arranges all of the classes and provides all class materials and the Northwest Branch of the Harris County Public Library is provides the space for the classes. It is a great collaboration that will benefit residents of Northwest Harris County.

The topic for Tuesday, July 13th at 10:30am is "Money for Life".  The classes will be taught by volunteer instructor, Rollis Fontenot III (http://www.salescoachsite.com), who spent eight years in financial services including investments, insurance, and banking.  He will present this topic along with a majority of the courses during July and August at this location. There is no fee to attend.
