Kettlebells Continue to Gain Traction as an Effective Training Aid
Australian Kettlebells was the first distributor of Kettlebells to Australia. Since its beginning in the mid2000s, Australian Kettlebells has continuously expanded to the point where they now hold courses in Kettlebell training all across the country
“I founded Australian Kettlebells because there was nothing like it in Australia at the time,” explains site founder Rick Ravensdale. “I had heard a lot about them from people in the States, but no one here knew much at all about them, which is why I had to create my first Kettlebell at a foundry in 2000. Once I saw what they could do, I quit my career as a physical fitness trainer and devoted all my time to these amazing workout machines.”
Australian Kettlebells has recently broadened its product selection to include a wide range of other weight training material such as: power clubs, resistance bands, weighted vests, equipment from Zhang Kong, hand grippers, additional health and fitness equipment, health and fitness books, health and fitness DVDs, health and fitness workshops and more. The company was also the first to offer a Kettlebell certification course through an organization called the Australian Kettlebell Institute.
Instructors qualified to teach this course are now prevalent throughout Australia.
As the popularity of the Kettlebell grows, it is popping up in gyms throughout Australia, including ReCreation Health Club. Kettlebell classes are easy to teach, can be larger in size than a typical training class and only require one Kettlebell per attendee. Gyms interested in learning more about how they can integrate Kettlebells and Kettlebell classes run by certified instructors into their facility can contact Australian Kettlebells at 1300 85 40 50.
