Most weight loss diets will not lose you weight, argues fitness expert Abby Miller.

Simple, right? Not according to the multi-billion dollar weight loss industry, says fitness expert Abby Miller. Thousands of weight loss diets are created and sold every year. "The weight loss industry just repackages the same information over and over," she explains. "Eat less and exercise more - that's the 'secret' really."
Personal trainer and author Stuart Wilson agrees: "You really gotta dig deep to find quality weight loss information these days. There's just an avalanche of misinformation. If people could find the right information, losing weight would be much much easier for them."
Sales of weight loss books climbed from 243 million dollars in 2008 to 276 million dollars in 2009. Obesity is also rising: adult obesity rates now exceed 25% in 31 states, up from 28 states in 2009, and 19 states in 2008.
