Follow on Google News | New Study Recruiting Volunteers With Type 2 Diabetes To Test Free Supplemental MedicationAMCR Institute is recruiting individuals with type 2 diabetes to volunteer for a clinical research study to assess the effects of an oral medication that is already approved to treat other conditions to determine if it helps their diabetes.
By: AMCR Institute Dr. Timothy Bailey, MD, the Institute’s director, said, “We are investigating whether a medicine that has been proven effective in other treatments can also help lower blood sugar levels and improve the quality of life for people with type 2 diabetes.” Volunteers will be asked to make nine office visits within a 12-week study period. Participants must be at least 18 years old and be taking oral medications to treat their type 2 diabetes. Qualified participants will receive all study-related treatment and medication at no cost, and may be compensated for their time and travel.
