Thomson Local promotes Pringle to Marketing Director
Local business search company ThomsonLocal.com has announced that it has promoted Jill Pringle to the position of Marketing Director from her previous role as Head of Marketing

Local business search company ThomsonLocal.com has announced that it has promoted Jill Pringle to the position of Marketing Director from her previous role as Head of Marketing.
Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Elio Schiavo, Pringle is tasked with reviewing the company’s digital and print product offering, brand position and communications strategy in order to drive greater usage of local search site http://www.ThomsonLocal.com and reinforce the company’s ‘Local’ credentials.
She said: “As a company, we are going through a real transformation as we look to simplify our offer and really own ‘local’. Whilst ‘local’ is a word that a number of companies are trying to associate themselves with, it has been at the heart of our business for nearly 30 years.
“We haven’t exploited that position enough outside of the printed directory, which is why we have just merged our online and offline marketing teams.”
Pringle continued: “Consumers search for local businesses using a multitude of media, and it is important that we are giving our customers exposure across all these channels.
“Some of our plans to achieve our goals will certainly surprise the market, and that’s a very exciting prospect.”
Pringle, who has been with the company since 2001 and has worked across its online, print and data divisions, replaces former Product and Marketing Director Gary Brown who left the company in February to pursue other interests.
