Suddenly finding himself in need of shelter when missiles begin exploding all around him, an Afghan shepherd dives into a hole in the side of a nearby mountain – and suddenly discovers an ancient artifact that will soon change the world as we know it: Methuselah’s Pillar. Rumored to be descended from the biblical figure Methuselah – who, according to legend, received the artifact from his distant ancestor (and the first human ever created) Adam – the pillar supposedly possesses magical, mystical powers the full scope of which mankind can only imagine. This, of course, makes it an incredibly invaluable asset in the hands of anyone who possesses it – which sets off a high-stakes race between the CIA and terrorist insurgents determined to claim it as their own, forcing renowned archeologist Samantha Conway in the middle of a deadly game of keeps while the world – suddenly afflicted by a host of biblical plagues – begins to crumble down around her...
An imaginatively well-crafted tale of drama, action, and suspense, Methuselah’s Pillar is a page-turning instant classic. Featuring everything from ancient biblical legends to international espionage to modern day terroristic themes, author W.G. Griffiths’ engaging fantasy tale is an absolutely riveting read. As much an intellectual thriller as a nonstop action-packed drama, Methuselah’s Pillar takes the reader on a compelling journey through the past and present, unafraid to tackle some of the more controversial, taboo topics of our time in order to highlight the perils that we are doomed to continue to face if we don’t finally learn to adjust our closed-minded vzmkg approaches in light of the omnipresent truth that forever shines all around us. As such, Griffiths’ well thought out tale serves as a cautionary wake-up call for each of us to further analyze the artificial spiritual and philosophical divisions that separate us despite the strains of common humanity that have always united us all.
A gripping, heart-stopping read, Methuselah’s Pillar is a thoroughly entertaining literary treat. Highly recommended.
