Acura to Install Brake-Override System on All Models

July 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Chevy Chase Acura announces that the Honda Motor Corporation will begin installing brake-override systems on all Acura and Honda models in the United States.  The first round of new Acura vehicles with this brake system is expected to be available for sale on Washington DC Acura dealer lots beginning in August 2010.  The company plans to have this brake-override technology on all new Acura and Honda cars and trucks by late 2011.

In a recent statement, the automaker said that they are “committed to applying Brake Priority Logic on 100% of Honda and Acura passenger vehicles produced for the North American market”.  This is a progressive step in the safety of automobiles being sold in the United States.
