The Hudson Valley News, a Dutchess County based weekly newspaper, is reporting that the wedding of Chelsea Clinton to Marc Mezvinsky  will be held  in Rhinebeck, New York.

is about 102 miles from Manhattan and 73 miles from the  Clinton family home in Chappaqua, New York.


According to Langan the nuptials will be held at the magnificent Astor Casino Estate or Astor Courts which is among the grandest of the legendary Hudson River mansions. High on a bluff.  The Clintons will be assured of privacy with it's  long winding driveway and views of the river below and mountains beyond.

Designed by Stanford White the mansion was commissioned by John Jacob Astor IV in 1902 with indoor tennis court and white marble swimming pool.. Originally  built for heiress Alice Astor.

Langen speaking from his Hyde Park Newspaper yesterday said of Clinton's choice   " It is a spectacular venue with sweeping views of the Hudson".
