Flowcrete's Mondéco Flooring Shortlisted In Archidex Awards

July 1, 2010 - PRLog -- International flooring specialist Flowcrete is using the Archidex 2010 Exhibition & Conference to showcase a number of its commercial flooring systems to architects, interior designers, contractors and consultants. The flagship industry event, which is being held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia, features products and services from over 300 companies involved in the building and design sector.

One of the flooring systems on display, Flowcrete’s innovative Mondéco Crystal, has been singled out as a nominee in the New Product Awards Scheme that will be judged, along with 55 other products, during the four day Archidex event.

We are absolutely delighted that our Mondéco Crystal has been shortlisted in the New Product Awards.”

Mondéco Crystal is a decorative epoxy resin terrazzo designed to deliver maximum impact in popular commercial environments such as airports, transport hubs, shopping malls, hotels, offices and restaurants. Formulated as a seamless system, Mondéco Crystal allows designers and architects extensive flexibility for bespoke patterns and styles to be swirled across the surface of the floor in virtually any colour or finish. Eco-friendly properties of the system include its epoxy resin formulation as a by-product of petroleum and the use of recycled crystal mirror glass as part of the aggregate mix. Other eye-catching aggregates include mother of pearl and coloured glass fragments.

Delivering a joint-free finish - with no cracks or crevices to harbour dirt or dust - Mondéco Crystal provides a surface that is easy to clean and maintain. The synthetic material offers extreme wear, scratch and abrasion resistance in order to withstand heavy volumes of foot traffic while retaining high quality good looks for the long term. Comprehensive system warranties of 10 years are provided with the system.

Flowcrete’s Mondéco has been selected for use at a number of landmark locations around the world including the Iluma Shopping Mall in Singapore (pictured), Disneyland in Hong Kong, Times Square Mall in the UAE and Westfield’s European flagship mall in the UK.

Other Flowcrete flooring systems being profiled at Archidex 2010 include Flowfast - ready for use just two hours after installation, Deckshield – a waterproof, polyurethane car-park deck coating system, Flowshield – a self smoothing system with a high gloss finish and  Rustik & Naturewalk – two unique stone carpet systems.
