June 30, 2010 - PRLog -- West Houston Infiniti is one of the first Infiniti dealerships to have the all new 2011 Infiniti QX56 SUV in stock.   This Sport Utility automobile is built on an all new chassis.  With tons of extras and advancements you would think the new QX56 would cost more than the last model, but this is not the case.  The 2011 class QX56 not only has much more horsepower, it also get better MPG.  Is there money to be made in the full sized SUV segment?  The answer is yes, and the proof is in the pudding since Infiniti Vendors
have been selling out of the current model QX56.

Compared to the last breed, the exterior of this Infiniti is gorgeous . The prior sport utility vehicle's look was ugly and square. The FX35 and FX50 lend their sculptured look to the latest QX56. The hood and front fenders have a lovely molded look that perfectly accents the xenon headlamps. 20 inch rims are stock but there is an option to upgrade to gigantic 22 inch rims.

The standard V-8 engine now puts out 80 more HP than the 2010 SUV.  The V-8 engine is quite large at 5.6 liters and the torque output is 413 ft-lb. and the QX56 can then tow something as large as 8500 pounds.  Even the technology in the engine was renewed with hi tech stuff including VVEL and Direct Injection.  There is also a slick 7-speed automatic transmission.  In turn the fuel economy gets a great boost.  The 2011 Infiniti QX56 should see over 13 MPG in the city and 20 MPG on the highway.  This puts the QX56 at the top in the full sized SUV niche.  In comparison, the Cadillac Escalade hybrid gets about the same fuel economy but costs many thousands more.  The QX56 has a range of 253 miles and a gas tank that holds 28 gallons of gas.

On the inside the QX56 can seat 7 or 8 passengers depending on the configuration.  2nd row seating room is supposedly best in class according to Infiniti.  Be sure to get the 2nd row chairs instead of the bench seating.  The QX56 has a center console for the front passengers and one for the rear passengers.  The 2011 QX56 has plenty of televisions, air-vents, and room for all passengers.  No other automobile manufacturer has ever fit 7-inch TV's in the headrests like Infiniti has done in the cutting-edge QX56.  Impressive leather seating abounds in the QX56.  Keeping the amenities and losing weight at the same time was tough to do for Infiniti, but it was done.

This SUV contains some really trick components.  The body Motion Control system is powered by hydraulics.  This limits body roll while turning which is important in a full sized SUV.  The way this works is by filling the shocks with more fluid.  The Hydraulic Body Control System is so advanced it keeps the QX56 more steady than BMW.

Many of the other advancements on this sport utility vehicle are there for safety reasons.   Traction control alone is super important in an SUV, but Infiniti took this one step further with all-wheel drive.  The traction control system can split the torque between the wheels in order to send more power to the wheels that need it.  The collection of safety innovations all work together to keep the passengers safe.  Every occupant in the QX56 gets full air bag protection including front, side, rear, and even roof air bags in case of a roll over.  Infiniti's Intelligent Brake Assist checks the speed of the QX56 vs the upcoming model and/or object, then applies the brakes if a collision seems immanent. The lane departure system warns the driver if the model begins to drift out of its lane.  The cruise control system is also a smart system that will keep the same amount of distance between you and the vehicle in front even if the slow down a bit.   The QX56 also has a system in place to alert the driver if there is an automobile in the sport utility vehicle's blind spot.  The list goes on and on and you can have all these gadgets for a base price of $56,000.
