June 30, 2010 - PRLog -- SOUTHFIELD, Mich., JUNE 30, 2010 – Parrot, leader in wireless peripherals for mobile phones, announces options for drivers in Georgia as the hands-free law takes effect on July 15.

Adults and young drivers in Georgia are prohibited from reading, typing and texting while driving. Young drivers are prohibited from making calls in addition to the other bans.
With many hands-free options available, Parrot provides the most comprehensive suite of Bluetooth products for drivers, from installed car stereos with a hidden iPod compartment to cordless hands-free kits that slide onto a visor. Parrot’s hands-free kits combine style, function and a wide range of price points to fit every budget.

“State by state, we’re seeing legislatures enacting distracted laws to keep residents safe and secure while on the road,” said Kelly Zachos, director of marketing North America for Parrot. “Parrot’s hands-free kits are intuitive and easy to use, so you can keep your eyes and mind on the road ahead.”

To keep drivers’ hands on the wheel and focused on the road, Parrot’s hands-free options include:

Parrot Minikit Slim: a portable Bluetooth hands-free kit that can be used in the car, in the office and at home. Its highly intuitive interface automatically connects to a Bluetooth phone when nearby. Fixed to the sun visor or laid on a table, it adapts to every environment and can easily be transported.

Parrot MKi9200: a Bluetooth hands-free system with a 2.4-inch high-resolution TFT color screen. A wireless remote control can be positioned on the steering wheel or dashboard and allows the driver to control all the functions of the MKi9200, training-free multi-speaker voice recognition, speech synthesis of the names in the phonebook, contact management and call records. The Parrot MKi9200 is compatible with all music sources, such as iPods, iPhones, USB flash drives, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) phones and MP3 players.
