Dr. Wimberly was able to give the children an opportunity to tell their story and bring relief to many still traumatized from the earthquake.
By: Advanced Consulting & Marketing Services LLC Dr. Chlorine Wimberly was on hand with the Global Projects "Rebuild Haiti" project where she had three opportunities in three separate areas to share how to counsel and debrief children still hampered with nightmares and fears following the earthquake. Chlorine is a member of Second Ebenezer Church, part of the Ministerial Alliance Praise Team under Bishop Edgar Vann and actively involved in mission work as she has traveled to South Africa in 2009. Her commitment is to give hope and healing to those struggling with PTSD. Dr. Wimberly who is a graduate of Ashland Seminary was also joined by fellow graduate Rev. Diane Perriman in ministering to children. Dr. Wimberly has a genuine love for children which was demonstrated by the way the children responded to her teaching. She spent time listening to the children and allowing them to explain their drawings as they gave account to what they saw and heard. She was able to meet children in Port au Prince, in the mountains of Cerve and Mole St Nicolas. Everywhere she had an audience with children was emotional and spiritual as the parents were given some relief education on how best to minister and love their children. Chlorine also preached on Sunday in Port au Prince a dynamic message of the grace and mercy of God. She was also instrumental in teaching on stress management and grief and loss. She looks forward to returning to Haiti on the next trip with Global Projects latter part of this year. Dr. Wimberly is more than willing to go where the children are in great need. Her message of encouragement with restored hope will change the heart of one child as well as help families to discover their "new normal" following such a devastating event.
