By: Adam Osetek Park’s TaeKwonDo Federation raises $10,000 by hosting a Break-A-Thon. All money will benefit the construction of an orphanage in Haiti. Students collected donations from friends and families, and broke boards with various TaeKwonDo techniques depending on how many donations they collected. The Break-A-Thon also featured an auction with prizes donated by local businesses, and a bake sale. All money collected from the auction and bake sale will go to the Haiti relief. Honored guests, including BSO deputy Alex Ortega, Lt. Cindy Adamsky, Town of Davie District 4 Councilmember Marlon Luis, and Park’s GrandMaster Jung Soo Park were in attendance. Master Shick Park, owner, will be traveling to Haiti to participate in construction efforts from July 17t-24th, 2010. The Break-A-Thon was held at Park’s TaeKwonDo, 11510 W. State Rd. 84 Davie, FL 33325 on Friday, June 25th at 6:45pm. Park’s TaeKwonDo, one of South Florida’s largest Martial Arts schools, has been in business for over 30 years. Park’s TaeKwonDo teaches Martial Arts Fitness and Character Development classes for children, men, and women of all ages.
