31 year old in India leaves full time job to earn from blogging

June 28, 2010 - PRLog -- The trend of earning full-time incomes online has been seen in more developed countries for some time now. But now, it is catching up even in more conservative countries like India.

Raag Vamdatt, a 31-year old MBA in Finance has left his full time job paying a handsome salary of more then Rs. 100,000 a month to focus full time on his blogs. Now, he plans to work and earn entirely from his blogs www.RaagVamdatt.com (blog on personal finance and financial planning) and http://www.PaisaPlanner.com (India's first Hindi blog on personal finance).

The move has been prompted by the desire to help more and more people attain a sound financial future.

“www.RaagVamdatt.com has grown a lot in the 2.5 years since its launch in end-2007 – it gets more than 100,000 page views per month now. Of course, this has meant many sacrifices by my family, and a lot of pressure on me because I maintained this website along with a full time job. With the response I am getting from my readers, I believe that there is an opportunity to take good financial practices to even more number of people through my blogs. So, I have quit my full time job so that I can work full time on my blogs and take them to the next level”, says Raag Vamdatt.

“After running the websites for such a long time, I have realized that I have been touching the lives of many people, helping them secure a healthy financial future. The satisfaction that I get from this, and the sense of fulfillment that I get reading the emails I get from my readers can not be matched by any job in this world!”, he adds.
