During the boom times a part of Ireland, a part of us lost our charm, our price competitiveness and our ability to show that we cared about other people.  Money came fast and with it faster pressures and faster stress, and much of it became a means to an end, and during that time service in business in Ireland went out the window.

The sincerity of communication suffered, and when that happened, sales and activity dwindled, and while some are still doing a good trade, many are not.

So what this economic downturn or slowdown represents is an opportunity to reconnect, to find out what people want, what your customers want,  what they’re willing to pay for and what they will buy, and exchange money for and then go deliver those goods or service.

And while you’re reinventing and reconnecting with your business, remember to use all the tools and efficiencies that are available to you, while still staying in touch with your customers.  

You see with an effective online marketing strategy, its not only possible but relatively easy to stay in touch with more people than you would ever have imagined.  There are more people on the internet at any one time than the populations of many countries, including Ireland.  There are more people that pass through Paddington Train Station than live in Ireland in fact.
