June 25, 2010 - PRLog -- The 2009 hit, “Say What You Will” from Hines’ Chasing Silver album was originally embraced by an international audience and was the most downloaded singer-songwriter track on iTunes within 48 hours of its release. It was also one of the most emailed videos on Sympatico.ca.

A couple of months ago, South African Producer Bronwen Nel felt that “Say What You Will” would resonate profoundly within her community, too, so she remixed it for her market with the Seta/Siyaya Learner Choir and the Keynote Acapella Group, prompting Justin’s film crew to head to South Africa, in May, to shoot the music video.

Incorporating local school choirs, the video continues the “white-board” mash-up that made the domestic version so popular. The crew not only captured the struggles and the challenges of the children evident at Despatch Primary and St. Elizabeth primary schools but also found inspiration in the joy and hope at Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network- supported 7 Fountains primary school.

The video depicts a part of Africa somewhat different than many of us may be familiar with, the crew having been inspired to a degree far beyond their imagining. Even Archbishop Desmond Tutu created his own whiteboard message of hope for the video and so began Justin’s “Say What You Will - Give What You Will” fundraising drive.

50% of all sales will benefit the Stephen Leacock Foundation for Children, which has a presence in Africa and The Association for the Physically Disabled (Eastern Cape) as well as several other charities.

The “South Africa” EP includes the “Say What You Will” and “Chasing Silver” remixes as well as “Courage (Come Out To Play)” and the South African version of the “Say What You Will” video. The money-raising single is available for viewing and purchase at http://www.rapp.co.za/. The full EP, available at inDiscover.net, is being broadcast in South Africa during the World Cup.
