With a history dating back to the Xia Dynasty around 2,100BC, with sixteen different distinct historical periods, dynasties or era's, including the Ming Dynasty one of the more well know periods in Chinese. The 5 day school trip departed on the 28th of May and returned on the 2nd of June, the group was based in the capital Beijing and explored the surrounding area with activities including a tour of Beijing, visiting the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Ming Tombs, Olympic Park and Lama Temple. The group's itinerary also included visiting a local school, fresh water pearl factory, silk market, jade factory and enjoyed an acrobatic show. Halsbury travel who has over 20 years experience organising educational excursions, and has been arranging this trip said "To have such a successful trip and to have the knowledge that we can offer students something that not only will enhance their learning experience but leave memories that will last a lifetime is very rewarding." China has a unique history and culture, which in recent history has opened up to the West making it a fascinating country to explore and excellent opportunity for students to experience the places they have read about bringing what they have learnt to life. http://www.halsbury.com # # # Halsbury Travel is a leader in educational school trips to Europe and curriculum school tours around the world.
