The Latest DDR3 RAM Memory from Data Memory Systems
Leading memory providers, Data Memory Systems, have a line of DDR3 RAM memory to speed up even the slowest of computers.
RAM is short for Random Access Memory. It is used to store data in the form of files for processing by a computer’s central processing system or unit (CPU), which is also known as a processor. It is also less commonly known as volatile memory because the data it holds is lost when you turn your computer or laptop off. Most operating systems support DDR or DDR2 memory, but as the DDR3 version becomes more popular because of its power saving properties, more and more motherboards will be made to support this.
Data Memory Systems stock a variety of DDR3 RAM memory, including the 4GB DDR3-1066 SODIMM. Used in the latest Apple iMacs, Macbooks and Macbook Pros, it is a huge improvement over its forerunner, the DDR2 SDRAM. With the ability to transfer data at twice the speed of its predecessors, it enables higher bus and peak rates than the DDR and DDR2. It also gives a 30 per cent reduction in power because of its 1.5V supply voltage, compared with the DDR2’s 1.8V or the DDR’s 2.5V. The DDR3-1066 SODIMM is also available in 8GB.
