Canadian Short Screenplay Competition Blog Bows Official #WW Laureate Ciceri

The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, proclaims two-time finalist Carolynne Ciceri as official Writer’s Wednesday Laureate blogger on CSSC site.

June 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Toronto, ON— The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, the most prestigious screenwriting competition in Canada, announced recently at the Banff World Television Festival and Next Media that they would begin a weekly blog column with two-time CSSC top 5 finalist, Carolynne Ciceri.

Competition Founder, David Cormican, explains, “I was looking for a way to involve Carolynne more deeply into the CSSC and help expose her wonderful talent for the written word. I’ve now traded emails with her (Ciceri) for 2 years and simply need to share her wit and perspective with competition followers”.

Ciceri’s first post on the CSSC site as #WW Laureate will begin this #WW, Wednesday June 23, 2010. (Ciceri) will continue the duties as #WW Laureate for a full year term, until the torch will be handed off to a fellow CSSC finalist alumni from the 2010/11 crop of hopefuls.

Weekly theme(s) and topics for the blog will be left open to the whims of the Laureate, says Cormican. “Posts will obviously be film and (screen)writing related”, but as for the specific brand of inspiration being offered, interested parties will be encouraged for return weekly visits to the CSSC site to find out.

When asked what she has prepared for her premiere post as #WW Laureate, Ciceri shares: “I can't help but think that the honour of being the CSSC's Writer's Wednesday Laureate is part of a nefarious plot intended to teach me how to meet a deadline. Nevertheless I will share with you the thoughts of an emerging screenwriter, beginning with why I am so grateful that I did NOT win the CSSC. Twice."
