June 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Visit Khajjiar, a charming getaway in Himachal Pradesh. This serene place has a small lake in the centre with a floating island. The lake is held sacred to Khajjinag - after whom the place is named. The lake remains full of water in all the seasons and requires no rain water for survival. The thick forest of cedar (deodar) forest in the Kalatop sanctuary surrounds Khajjiar which is no less than a magical paradise. A temple dedicated to Khajjinag is also located there.

Visit Bandhavgarh, situated in Umaria district among the outlying hills of the Vindhya Range. At the centre of the park is Bandhavgarh hill, surrounding a large number of smaller hills separated by gently sloping valleys. These valleys end in small, swampy meadows, locally known as 'Bohera'. The valley is surrounded by sal forest and on the lower slopes, gradually changes to mixed deciduous forest on the hills. Bamboo is found throughout. Bandhavgarh National Park is one place where you can be almost certain of seeing a tiger in its natural habitat. It is in this valley that the Maharaja of Rewa discovered the world's first white tiger. The park supports a variety of wildlife like deer, panther, sambar, wild boar and bison. It is equally rich in birdlife, boasting of over 200 species. Dominating the park are several prehistoric caves, rich with Brahmi inscriptions dating from the 1st century BC and drawings by pre-historic man.

Explore the other side of Goa. The magnificent scenic beauty and the architectural splendours of its temples, churches and old houses have made Goa a firm favourite with travellers around the world. Goa is much more than just beaches and sea. It has a soul that goes deep into unique history, rich culture and some of the prettiest natural scenery that India has to offer. Enjoy a boat ride on River Mandovi.
